Our Top 10 RV Campgrounds in Texas

RV camping

Our family has fallen in love with RV Camping! We have met so many wonderful families and had so many “homeschool” learning opportunities through these experiences and time away.

This list of OUR TOP 10 RV Campgrounds in Texas could go on and on and on but we wanted to give you some of the best RV Parks in Texas to visit!

1. LIVINGSTON STATE PARK
We love this park! They have everything from primitive tent campsites to lakefront covered shelters with large grassy areas and large campsite area. You can check their details HERE.

2. YOGI BEAR JELLYSTONE PARK GUADALUPE RIVER (Kerrville)
Of course we have to mention this family favorite! There are activities, watersports, live music, water slides, and too many amenities to list. You can CHECK THEIR SITE for deals through the year and try to snag your preference of dates!

3. SOUTH PADRE ISLAND KOA
The best vacations for us involve the BEACH and the South Padre KOA is consistently given customer awards year after year. FIND THEM HERE

4. GALVESTON ISLAND RV RESORT
This fun RV resort features a lazy river we can’t get enough of and even a putt putt golf course! Sites fill up fast! CHECK AVAILABILITY.

5. DELLANERA RV RESORT (GALVESTON)
Home Sweet Home. This is the place to be if you want beachfront, sand between your toes! They don’t currently offer activities or other amenities a lot of the others do so you have to decide between the beachside vs. something like Galveston RV above.
TAKE A LOOK HERE.

6. PALO DURO CANYON STATE PARK
Did you know we Texans have a little Grand Canyon!? Well okay, not exactly, but it IS the second largest canyon in the nation! This is an outdoor lovers’ paradise with trails in varying skill levels, equestrian trails, biking paths, etc…and still with amenities on site.
ENJOY THE VIEWS HERE.

7. WAYLON JENNINGS RV PARK (LITTLEFIELD, TX)
Okay, y’all! This one is pretty cool! Although we can’t promise incredible activities and sights like some of the others, this park is FREE the first night and $20 thereafter! You can stop by the Waylon Jennings Memorial which was established in the park in 1990 by the Littlefield Arts and Heritage Committee where Waylon put his boot prints in wet cement, as a permanent part of his legacy. BOOK HERE.

8. MONAHANS SANDHILLS STATE PARK
We added this one to the list because it’s got sand discs for rent that kids will flip out over! Super fun! The sand dunes are worth checking out! INFO HERE.

9.LAZY L&L CAMPGROUND (NEW BRAUNFELS)
This campground boasts riverfront sites so you can get right in on the fun!
GET STARTED HERE.

10. BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK
We may have saved the biggest for last! Big Bend is the 15th largest national park! Don’t miss the stunning views.
